Bonding is a dental technique in which a composite resin material is bonded to an existing tooth in order to improve its appearance. Bonding is a solution for restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic improvements and even changing the color of or reshaping your teeth. Dental bonding is ideal for fixing cracked or chipped teeth, hiding discoloration on the tooth’s surface or reducing the gaps in between teeth. The bonding material is sculpted, color matched and shaped to provide a pleasing result. Unlike porcelain veneers or crowns, dental bonding removes little if any of the original tooth.

You can expect dental bonding to have a life span of about seven to eleven years. No matter what the specific intent, dental bonding restores the teeth to their original form and creates a more aesthetically pleasing smile.
